Entering and Living in Austria
歐盟成員國與瑞士的國民不需要簽證
 Citizens from EU/ EEA member states and Switzerland do not have to apply for a visa or
residence permit.
Students need a valid travel document (passport) for their entry and residence in Austria. In addition, EU/ EEA citizens who stay in Austria for more than 3 months need to register at the Amt der Steiermärkischen Landesregierung within the first 4 months of
their stay in order to receive an "Anmeldebescheinigung" for their stay in Austria. Currently, a
fee of € 15 is charged for the “Anmeldebescheinigung“.

非歐盟成員國的國民,
旅行在三個月內需要簽證 "travel visa C" (up to 90 days)
居留在六個月內需要簽證 "(residence) visa D" (91 days up to 6 months)

 Non EU- or EEA-citizens staying in Austria for less than 6 months either need a
"travel visa C" (up to 90 days), or a "(residence) visa D" (91 days up to 6 months)
for entry into and residence in Austria.

This visa has to be applied for at the nearest responsible Austrian representative authority before going to Austria and it will be issued by this authority. Visas cannot
be renewed in Austria.

非歐盟成員國的國民, 居留超過六個月需要簽證
 Non EU- or EEA-citizens staying in Austria for more than 6 months need a
“residence permit” for study purposes
(Aufenthaltsbewilligung "Studierender" or "Sonderfälle unselbstständiger Erwerbstätiger")
for residence in Austria.

申請居留簽證須於計劃出發日前三個月提出申請
The application for the residence permit has to be submitted at the responsible Austrian representative authority in the respective country of residence before going to Austria – at least 3 months before the planned departure.
請在自己國家等待簽證核准
The decision has to be awaited in one's home country.
If the Austrian authority decides to grant you the residence permit, the representative authority will issue a "(residence) visa D" for entry into Austria.
Students enter Austria with the “(residence) visa D”. Once in Graz, Austria, they need to pick up their residence permit at Referat für Aufenthalts- und Sicherheitswesen

 Attention: Students who are allowed to enter Austria without a visa can apply for residence
permitright after their arrival in Austria. The residence permit has to be picked up within the
visa free stay (3 months / 90 days)!
